Parenting is a complex relationship. Parenting is often not understood as a relationship. I think parents are the ultimate leaders, teachers and influencers. However, do we see our children as recipients and responders. Most important, when i began realizing i was raising future adults, it was a " game changer". I am convinced that , if we see children as responders and recipients, we will parent with more intentionality and sensitivity to their needs. Of course, our stewardness and responsibility to teach them "the way they should go" is key. Parents should provide the "necessary and sufficient" conditions for them to thrive spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically, for their sakes, not ours. Parenting takes relationship, lots of work, high responsibility, sacrifice, nurturing and selfless investment. One day, we fully appreciate the hard work in light of the immense rewards.
