How would you rate yourself on decision making? Psychologists say people make thousands of decisions daily. All decisions, entail choosing a side. Also, decisions are made in context. Our mindsets, feelings and circumstances surrounding the decision making, all play an equal role. We can learn to be skilled in the decision making process. Many times, decision making is confused with problem solving. While problem solving does involve decisions, it is mostly tied to solving a specific problem. As people get skilled in decision making, they also gain confidence to confront problems across different areas. In addition, I believe learning to make good decisions greatly reduces stress and improves the quality of life as good outcomes are experienced consistently. Most importantly, make decisions in wisdom.
